Boxing Legend Joán Guzman at Leigh Boxing & Fitness Centre March '10

Unbeaten Two weight World Champion Joan Guzman was at Leigh Boxing & Fitness Centre on saturday afternoon where he trained for over two hours with members of the Leigh ABC squad. After warming up with the youngsters, Joan then proceeded to spar 14 x 3 minute rounds with the boxers, before doing the pads with Lee Beard and then taking the boxers through a 45 minute technique training class and finishing with a stretching session ! After this, Joan happily posed for photos and signed autographs for everyone in the club !
A real down to earth top bloke who i'm sure would have stayed all day such was his keeness to help the youngsters. It was fantastic of both Joan and Lee to give up their time, and will be a day all at Leigh ABC will never forget.
